Our Community Involvement in Midland, MI

At All Seasons Heating and Cooling, our roots in Midland, MI run deep. We are not just a company providing heating and cooling services; we are people who have grown up here, raised families here, and built relationships with our neighbors one service call at a time. The people we work with are the same ones we see at little league games, grocery stores, and local coffee shops. That connection makes our work more meaningful and gives us a bigger reason to give back.

Our family-owned business was started back in 1979 by Jeff Kohtz and is now operated by his sons, Mark and Paul. Over the years, the values that started this company have remained the same: treat people fairly, be honest about pricing, do the job right the first time, and always show up for the community. Our community involvement in Midland, MI is woven into everything we do, from local volunteering and supporting military families to offering services with genuine care.

Supporting Our Local Community Through Real Action

Being part of a community means more than simply having a business address in the area. For us, it means showing up, pitching in, and helping make Midland a better place for everyone. Over the years, we have taken part in a number of local events and initiatives that bring people together and support those in need.

Some of the local efforts we are proud to support include Toys for Tots, which helps children receive gifts during the holiday season. We’ve participated in the Midtown Fall Fest Trunk or Treat at Grove Park, where we connected with families in a fun and relaxed setting. We have also been part of the Midland County Fair, a tradition that brings so many people in our town together.

Reece Endeavor of Midland 

One cause that's especially close to our hearts is Reece Endeavor of Midland. Founded in honor of David Reece, who, along with his wife, Florence, sought to create greater access to resources for disabled children after the birth of their son, William, Reece Endeavor of Midland provides housing for disabled adults throughout the Midland community. As the Reece Fund, the organization was able to purchase its first home for adults transitioning out of family or group homes in 1973. 

After more than 15 years and several more homes, the Fund was approached with a request to purchase a more permanent rental home for a man with developmental disabilities, a place he could live with others and with the assistance of support staff. The shift to this model was an instant success, with the benefits of this style of living situation—greater independence and a strong, stable foundation—immediately apparent. 

Today, Reece Endeavor of Midland has more than 40 safe, clean, and well-maintained homes across Midland County for residents with both cognitive and developmental disabilities. All Seasons Heating and Cooling is proud to support this cause. In fact, Mrs. Genevieve Kohtz, a member of the same Kohtz family that still runs All Seasons Heating and Cooling today, served as the first Vice Chairman of Reece Endeavor of Midland back in 1957, when it was still known as The David Reece Fund. For more than 25 years, we've partnered with Reece Endeavor of Midland as a recommended vendor, and we donate a portion of every travel/diagnostic fee to this incredible cause. In 2017, we were honored to receive the Reece Endeavor of Midland's Michael W. Stutelberg Award in recognition of our ongoing efforts to make a real impact in the lives of our fellow community members.

The Warrior Program for Military Families

We believe that the men and women who serve in the military deserve more than just words of thanks. That is why we created the Warrior Program, which provides veterans and active-duty service members with a free, lifetime Service Club Partner Plan. This plan covers central air units, furnaces, and water heaters for homeowners living in their primary residence.

There are no service fees, and enrollment is completely free. All that is needed is a visit to our office with a military ID. If something happens to the primary account holder, the plan can be transferred to their spouse. This program is our way of giving back to the people who have given so much to all of us.
